Shea's Bakery was started in 2008 by a 14-year-old girl with a passion for baking and giving back to her community, supported by her mom, a writer and entrepreneur. As word got out and people started tasting Shea’s desserts, Shea's Bakery quickly flourished. Shea became a media darling, winning award after award for her work in the bakery and community.
Since its inception, Shea's Bakery has grown to be Delray Beach's #1 custom cake shop and a preferred wedding vendor at many South Florida hotels and resorts. Still, we haven’t lost our homespun roots! Unlike most area bakeries, we do not use artificial ingredients, high fructose corn syrup, chemicals or preservatives in our goods.
Our cakes are made with whole, pure, raw ingredients, not pre-made, chemical-laden mixes and are baked fresh to fill each order. Our buttercreams are made with fresh real butter, high-quality vanilla and other natural flavorings and made fresh as well. Very few bakeries and cake shops take this same approach.
Our commitment to quality, freshness, and personal attention remains a founding principal at Shea’s Bakery. Our talented team of bakers, decorators and administrative help is the backbone of the business, and each team member is dedicated to customer satisfaction…in fact, it’s what continually drives us.
